Tokyo Diaries: Part One

Kiddy Land on Omotesando, five floors of kawaii goodness. Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, Totoro, you name it! I bought a few too many things. I wish I could’ve brought home that life-size Kiki and Lala on a unicorn, but instead I settled for a pair of unicorn slippers (which I bought at Sanrio, in Harajuku).

Ra.a.g.f. (Rabbit And Grow Fat) in Harajuku, where you can feed and play with bunnies, while you enjoy a cup of tea. You take off your shoes upon entering, and are given your choice of beverage and a dish of veggies for the rabbits. Bunnies are let out to run around and socialize for fifteen minutes at a time, allowing all of them lots of love and attention. We fell in love with this giant lady, who was so friendly and funny.

Pancake Days, because Bobby needed a mid-day pancake pick-me-up. Shouldn’t every stack of pancakes have a smiley face and a triumphant flag?

Stumbled upon Oui, Ayano Ruban, where I met this adorable gal

Kitties everywhere, at Nyafe Melange cat café. It was raining, so we headed upstairs to this little cat paradise. The twins in the bucket were killing me! We also left with some kitty donuts

Just in case I didn’t stand out enough as a tourist, I brought along my Kate Spade “Hello Tokyo” clutch, which I paired with one of my favorite vintage dresses, a vintage scarf, and my Nine West “Tasha” sandals…plus an umbrella we picked up at a convenience store, since it started raining while we were out. Even in the rain, our first full day in Tokyo was perfect.
