I’ve never spent more than a day in North Carolina prior to this trip, but I sure do think it’s beautiful. We made a three day pit stop in Mount Airy, where some of Bobby’s family lives, and it was the perfect way to end our long two weeks. His aunt and uncle live on a large, gorgeous property, of which we and the dogs took full advantage: Miku and Bear (family dog) were in their element, chasing each other (and us) all over the place and bathing in the sunlight. There’s nothing like fresh air and open space to help you wind down before another long drive; it did us all a great deal of good. Thank you, North Carolina, for being so lovely – and an especially big thank you to Bobby’s family for their hospitality. We’ll be back, soon!
