throughout the years

Outfit Details:
Rose Garden Dress and sweater socks - c/o Free People
thrifted bow belt
Seychelles platforms (c/o)
MAC Russian Red
Miku is wearing a bow shirt c/o Martha Stewart Pets (she says thank you!)

My apartment is filled with many little treasures I've collected throughout the years. Most of the decor throughout my place is either vintage, antique, or handmade/independent - with a few exceptions. I like having more unique pieces, and I especially love the hunt. What's even better is that most of what I have around my apartment cost me next to nothing or nothing at all. I think this set of chairs (there are four of them) was one of the most expensive furniture purchases I made, and it still cost less than a set from Ikea. My most recent purchase was that framed floral artwork in the upper right corner of the photos, which I found for a whopping $20 on a day trip with some friends in New Hope. My mom taught me well. Thanks, ma!

  7. We are using chairs like that for our "sweetheart table" at our wedding. Ours are family items that come from my great grandfather's icecream shop!

  8. I have similar sentiments about the 'things' in my apartment, but ever since moving to manhattan I feel like I've had to give up thrifting and antiquing because it's such a joke here. anywhere I've tried going is so wildly overpriced and overpicked it's insane. I really miss it:( do you have any suggestions for the new york area that actually have decent prices?

  23. I just love collecting things for my house, I have thrifted, antique and homemade things I have accumulated over the years as well. One day I'll have a house to put them in. But until then they are scattered in my room and around my apt and I refresh the things around to bring stuff out of storage so I can appreciate everything. I really love those chairs by the way, they are so sweet looking. And you and Miku look great, love the outfits!

  24. I like thrifting but I'm afraid lately. People have been discouraging me by mentioning bed bugs. Do you worry about any of that? By the way your chairs are adorable! I <3 the dress too
