NYFW: Tadashi Shoji and Kimberly Ovitz

I started the week off with a couple of shows that are quite different from one another but equally inspiring: Tadashi Shoji and Kimberly Ovitz. One exudes elegance while the other is the absolute embodiment of edge – each an extreme I would like to possess (but I’m somewhere in between). What I love about going to the shows is that I can find inspiration at all of them, in the colors, the silhouettes, the accessories, the hair and makeup. I can take different facets from each collection and combine them into something that suits my own style. It got me excited for Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show (in two weeks – wow!) and the looks I will be styling for it. Of course, I’ll be styling for Spring/Summer and now I have Fall on the brain, but it still got me amped up for it. I’m also looking forward to meeting Natalie, the Northeast winner and regional style setter who will be joining us in South Beach. You can see the rest of the winners and find more info on the show here. I can’t wait.

Back to Kimberly Ovitz: the jewelry was something that stood out to me, and I realized that it’s actually available right now!
