Florida "home." tee - c/o The Home. T (a portion of proceeds are donate to MS research)
MAC Pink Pigeon lipstick
With Cotton's Road to the Runway getting closer and closer to finding our regional winners, this new Florida "home." tee couldn't have come at a better time. In just one month, we'll be bringing one winner from each region to South Beach for Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show. Though I'm representing the Northeast region, I will always identify as a Floridian. I was born and raised there, and my family still lives there...and if winter has taught me anything, it's that my Florida blood was never meant to withstand it. Plus, whenever you meet anyone in NYC, the first thing most people ask is, "Where are you from?" Most of us are transplants, who sought out this city for all of its wonder. Save for my friend Helena of Brooklyn Blonde (born and bred in NYC), most of my New York friends are from anywhere but here. They say you can't call yourself a New Yorker until you've been here for ten years; I've been here for six, so I'm still a Floridian. Ask me again in four more years.

LOVE your lipstick! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that t-shirt. I may need to get a Georgia one.

I'm more than a little bit in love with the home tees. Definitely want one but I'm torn between the state I was raised in and the state I've created a home for myself in now.

ReplyDeleteDear Keiko Lynn, how do you style your hair so pretty now that it is shorter? I don't think you can still do the same bun updo than before, right? Could you share this with us?
ReplyDeleteI actually can, but I'm getting it cut again this weekend! I'll have to revisit that once I have the final cut.
DeleteLoving that lipstick on you too.
ReplyDeleteLove home pride! I'm an American expat in Milan, via London and York, UK... I've been living abroad since 2000, but at the end of the day, I'm still a native of the city of brotherly love (or at least it's suburbs!) I think i need more tee shirts in my wardrobe... mine are all too simple and plain!
ReplyDeleteSo naturally beautiful!

Oh goodness, Miku's face just KILLS me.
ReplyDeleteI love the reppin' of the home state. I've literally got California pride tattooed on my body (in the shape of poppies on my shoulder) as well as a California necklace and a shirt. Living outside of California has definitely done it to me. I think it's even exaggerated my California accent. I should probably just tattoo I'M FROM CALIFORNIA on my forehead or something and be done with it!
Haha! Have you ever seen Erin's (from Calivintage.com) tattoo? She has a really great one.
DeleteI like your top. It's so fuuny:)

ReplyDeleteI moved to Brooklyn from Florida too! I feel like I meet so many Floridians here!
ReplyDeleteYes, and vice versa! Where in Florida are you from?
DeleteI love love this shirt...living in the Midwest now, but my heart will always be in Florida! What size are you wearing? I looked at their size chart, but am in between sizes..if that's a small, I need a medium, but if you're wearing the XS then I know to get the medium. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMine is a small. Hope that helps!
Delete*know to get the small
ReplyDeleteAmazing look! Simple but super stylish.

ReplyDeleteLove this shade of lipstick! And your dog is so adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI love your hair in this picture! Super cute and relaxed.
ReplyDeleteWhich Lookmatic glasses are you wearing here? I have a long smallish face and as much as I'd love to rock the big glasses look - it usually leaves me looking slightly ridiculous. Trying to find a smaller style of the big frames. Any suggestions from the website? Thanks!
I love this post. Is f+++ing amazing! <3

Wyoming (my home state) is just a square, so never works for these fun state-related posters or accessories or T-shirts. This is cute.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first winter outside Florida in 14 years. I've been especially homesick for it lately and that t-shirt makes me feel emotional. - Leah, wisestyle.wordpress.com
