On Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting a Dr. Jart+ event at Sephora in Times Square, along with Alexis of The Beauty Bean. I'm already a regular consumer of their V7 line (their Vitalaser 2.1 is my winter skin necessity) and the premium beauty balm, so I was really excited to get the chance to experiment with all of their other products. We were giving out samples and free makeup demonstrations of the Black Label Detox Beauty Balm and Water Fuse Smart Gel BB. By the end of the day, my hand was looking fabulous with all of the samples I was trying on it. I'm still a big fan of the original (premium), but considering the detoxing benefit of the black label cream - which, as a girl who lives in the harsh climate of NYC knows, is a big plus - I decided to bring home a few samples to see which I like the most.
I'm actually thinking about purchasing the whole sampler set to try them all out. If you have a favorite, I'd love to hear your preference (and why).
I'll be doing a full post with some of my favorite products and a makeup look to go with it, next week - I still want to test out some of my new goodies before I give a full report. But in the meantime, hop on over to Dr. Jart+ US to see some more snaps from the event. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us!
I like the regular water fuse a lot - I think that will be the one I use in the summer, in particular. The smart gel one was a little too thick for me, and I guess it's made for people who have larger pores or wrinkles, so it's not right for me. Let me know if you try black label!
I love the Black Label—I find it to be lighter than the Premium. I figure I might use the Premium more when the sun gets more intense, but I'm on the fence about that because I think it actually might be clogging up my pores. The Black Label, on the other hand, doesn't clog my pores and feels less like I'm wearing makeup.
Good to know! I think I like the finish of the black label more, too. Probably because it has less spf - the premium seems a little chalkier when it's next to the black label. Thank you for the feedback!
I was ecstatic when I got the Dr. Jart BB Cream in my Birchbox a few months ago, and I very happily bought the full-size bottle when I realized how light-weight it was, doubling (tripling?) as a moisturizer and concealer. I was majorly bummed when, after using it for a week or two, I realized it broke me out in those awful under-the-skin invisible-but-painful pimples. But I'd still recommend it to anyone who's not as acne-prone as me -- the cream was really amazing.
I use Dr Jart's Premium BB cream currently, but I may try a sample of the Black Label after reading your comments. Do you think it is the same coloring/coverage as the Premium? I'll be interested to see how you like it long term!
New to Dr Jart BB cream Renewalist. I love it's creaminess. As a nurse who works in Dermatology, it's recommended you use products that are non-comedogenic. They don't clog pores.
I freaking love the original Dr. Jart BB Cream! I got a sample of it through Birchbox, and it is my number one beauty product (with my waterproof mascara being a close second!). :)
How fun! Can't wait to see the full post on this & all the products.
