When it's cold outside, my giant sweaters and boots come out and most of my jewelry is neglected, since it's a little too chilly for metal on skin. But I've always said that makeup is my favorite accessory, so I tend to go a little more dramatic in the winter. Ultra bold lips or a smokey eye add enough to an outfit to forgo most other accessories. As much as my thin Floridian blood detests the dropping temperatures, I've always loved to layer my clothing like I have to wear everything, all at once - and I can't pass up an opportunity for a dramatic eye.
I've been taking a lot of photos indoors, these days, so you're finally starting to see more of my apartment. Once I figure out a way to get a decent shot in my living room (It's in the middle of the apartment, so it doesn't get a lot of natural light), I'll take you on a little tour of the place.
While I'm cozy and indoors, Cotton's Style Search Squad is out and on the move. We already finished our search in the Northeast , but there are still a lot of cities left where they're scouting cotton style for a chance to win $2,500 and a VIP trip to South Beach for Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show. If you missed your city's date or are too far from the remaining locations (check the list here), you can submit your look online. There will be one winner from each region, and they're also giving away $1,440 each week to one lucky winner. You guys need to enter, because I want at least one of my readers to go to South Beach with us! No need for chunky sweaters and boots, there.

Love the look. Awesome tights.

I'm like you, completely leave my jewellery behind in the winter and focus on cuddling up with bug sweaters. If I need to pretty things up I just add a vintage scarf. Love this look for the eyes - and the idea of makeup as an accessory :)

Opps... I meant big. Bug sweaters, though interesting, would just be weird.
