Bobby and I made it back to Brooklyn, last night. I woke up this morning in a daze, wondering where I was and how I got here. It didn't help that it was greyer than grey outside, making my room feel a lot more depressing than it actually is. I love New York but I always get a little bummed out after a Florida trip, because I miss my family. Look at my sweet little niece's cute face. Wouldn't you miss her? We shared bunk beds when I was visiting, and I couldn't have asked for a cuter roommate.
About the outfit: In order to prevent excessively overpacking, I downsized to a more realistic suitcase size. I still ended up packing more shoes than necessary, but I digress. I ended up wearing a few of the same pieces more than once, which if you think about it, is a way more realistic way to look at your closet. What's even better is that my sister has one of those fancy newfangled contraptions called a washing machine...and a dryer. We in Brooklyn have to schlep our clothes to the laundromat; I almost forgot how convenient it is to have a laundry room!

Such a pretty mixture of patterns, Keiko! All the addition of color is so much fun, too.

Keiko! This outfit is adorable, as is your little niece! I love the polka dot blazer so much. I want it in my closet.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's amazing how we take hot commodities like laundry rooms for granted. I have one, but it's super tiny and not at all comfortable. First world problems, right? Then I remember that others have to schlep their stuff to a laundromat though, and I feel a tad better. Then I remember that others don't have washing machines at all! Anyway, I'll stop writing now.

First off I have to say I love the new blog format, its so cherry! But really I know what you mean, I always end up over packing, especially when I always thrift when I visit my Mom and I raid her closet as well. I hate to leave though and leave my Mom and Lily behind but hopefully soon my Mom will be moving back to NYC (Im so excited)
ReplyDeleteAnyways I love the pops of yellow and orange they add that extra excitement to an outfit.
xxoo
