The Daman Chronicles

I recently had the pleasure of being styled by Eric Daman, costume designer of Gossip Girl and Carrie Diaries, for episode two of The Daman Chronicles. Using clothing from my own wardrobe along with some Swarovski jewelry, Eric styled me in five different looks: natural, dramatic, classic, romantic, and eclectic.

Watch the video here and tweet your favorite look using the hashtag #SwarovskiStyle to enter to win this Swarovski Chic Royalty ring from the video, along with seasons 1-4 of Gossip Girl on DVD. The contest goes through midnight on 7/24, so watch the video. choose your favorite look, and tweet to enter!

  12. I love hearing how Daman talks about the clothes. I always love to hear other costume designers, and I love that he's taken the craft and used it for such an interesting application in these videos, working with such accessible archetypes. I'll definitely be watching more!

  15. Keiko-- I bought some cute suspenders and I want to know how I should incorporate it into my wardrobe of retro inspired dresses and fetish details...I really like to wear a lot of black and leather and studs but also lots of rockabilly type stuff. How can I make the suspenders and part of this and still not look too butch?

  21. I rather like the last two outfits. The first three....ehhhh...I'd really have to disagree with the stylist's tastes there.

  25. Amoeba doll: From the way you describe your style, I imagine you probably have a pencil skirt in your closet! Why not try your suspenders with a pencil skirt and a tailored vintage blouse, and a pair of peep toe pumps?

  26. Whoa! I scrolled to these pictures and went "wait a minute, I know this guy, why do I know this guy?" As soon as I read your post, I knew... he was the head costumer for a movie I was an extra in last year! He got me all dressed and styled every day. He is absolutely fantastic. I can't believe I saw him on this blog! What a small world.
