sweet child o' mine

Bobby, Samara, Miku and I made the long drive from NYC to Florida, this weekend. We made a stop in Orlando to visit Bobby's family and some of our friends - it's always a little weird when I go back to Orlando, because it feels like visiting a past life. I lived there for five years and barely recognize anything anymore. I spent the day hanging out with friends and Bobby's family, and Bobby spent the day getting a new tattoo. Spoiler alert: it's of our cat, Vester.

After less than 24 hours in Orlando, Samara, Miku, and I continued down to South Florida. Bobby will follow suit in a couple of days, and then we make the long drive back. In the meantime, Miku and I are hanging out with the family and soaking up some rays in The Sunshine State. And by that, I mean that we are sitting inside in my sister's air conditioned house, and wearing lots of sunscreen for any extended periods of time spent outside.

  22. i lived in orlando for four years when i went to UCF and I definitely know what you mean. and now they're knocking down "the plaza" which is just... weird. i worked at lazy moon and used to frequent underground bluz for good live music. =/ anyway, have fun in florida in my neck of the woods :)

  30. That's so cool that you lived in Orlando! I lived there for six years, however I moved north a couple of months ago (growing up in Florida has that effect on people, no?). I used to go to Stardust nearly every day when I was in high school, but I haven't visited in a few years.
