Governors Island Jazz Age Lawn Party

The Governors Island Jazz Age Lawn Party is one of my favorite summer traditions; I was so happy that the girls were here to attend! Tessa and Ally went with Bobby and me last year, but this was Claire's first visit to NYC, let alone Governors Island. It feels like a different world there, but nothing is better than seeing everyone dressed up, dancing, and having picnics and tug-o-wars in the already beautiful setting. If you live or will be in NYC in August, make sure to check it out on the 18th and 19th!

  18. Hey Keiko! I really like your blog!

Speaking of period costumey stuff, I just spent a weekend in the 18th century at a manor in Denmark. Bill Cunningham wasn't there, but someone else took some pics - they're on my blog ;-)
That's my favorite event of the year, but I'd definitely like to go to your jazz party as well!

  27. I take it you were taking all of the photos? What did you wear to the jazz lawn party?

Either way everyone looks great! As if they belong to that era instead of this one. =)

  28. Forgive me putting on my historical accuracy hat for a moment, but by wearing suspenders over a vest, your man is essentially doing the vintage equivalent of wearing a bra over a shirt and it makes me giggle a little ;). You guys look super cute though and I'm glad you had fun :).
