Outfit Details:
floral bed jacket - Postlapsaria (recent sample)
fringe dress - H+M (old)
boater hat - H+M (old)
belt - thrifted
Makes Me Blush Wedges - c/o ModCloth
Here's a little peek at one of my samples from the new clothes I've been working on. I wasn't able to get very much of this fabric, so there will be an extremely limited run - but it also comes in two other color/prints. I hate dressing for warmer weather because I like to layer, so it's nice to have something easy and lightweight to throw on over little dresses or with a pair of shorts.
On this particular day, Bobby and I went to Pennsylvania Dutch Country and explored the beautiful countryside. It's like another world out there! Out of respect to the people who live there and their beliefs, I refrained from taking pictures in any residential areas - but it was so gorgeous, I had a hard time resisting the urge. We also made the mistake of going out there on a Sunday when everything is shut down, so I'm looking forward to going back out there on a weekday for a little getaway from the city. That being said, I do love NYC in the summer. Picnics in the park are a must!

I'm in love with your kimono and rings!

Lovely! I look forward to seeing more new Postlapsaria.
ReplyDeleteWould the communities you visited be Quaker then? I love visiting the Amish communities in Indiana and Michigan but I've never visited Pennsylvania before.

I like! I actually had been looking for a light cover to wear over my summer outfits. I too like layering. I used to like dressing in tanks for summer. But that was when I was in junior high. Now, its all about layering for me too.
