Let me give you some insight into how long I've been blogging: my dear friend Holly, who now works for d.RA (the line this shirt is from), started reading my blog when she was still in high school and I was a freshman in college. I'd love to lie and tell you that I'm twenty-one, and that was a whole four years ago, but the truth is that I'm twenty-seven! Almost ten years ago, she and her twin sister were buying the clothing I made out of my off-campus, student housing in Florida - they were even the first customers/readers who were interviewed for a local feature on Postlapsaria and my LiveJournal. I'm pretty sure I reconstructed an I <3 NY shirt for her. Years later, that's exactly where we met.

I sometimes forget that I met a lot of my friends online (particularly LJ), because at some point they become real-life friends and you forget where they started. It's pretty funny to think that years ago, I was the one sending Holly clothing to wear - now, she's sending things for my own wardrobe. Once my new stuff is complete, we'll meet somewhere in the middle. It's kind of awesome to remember where we started, and see where we are now. But it's even more exciting to think of where we're going. Did I mention that her twin sister is a freaking scientist? I pretty much got to watch these girls grow up, and vice versa.

How long have you been reading my blog? Did you ever read my LiveJournal, or even my Open Diary? Were you on LJ, and if so, what was your username?

p.s. If you own the Audrey tank that I'm wearing now, tweet a photo of you wearing it to  @draclothing for a $25 store credit to use at d.RA. It's available at Nordstrom online here, and in stores. Considering it's only $28 and you'll get $25 in credit back, I'd say that is a pretty good deal!

  11. Your outfit is so happy!

I have been reading your blog since LJ days, around 2006ish. 6 years-how time flies! My cringeworthy livejournal name was walkalloverme1.

I have followed several blogs for years and it is a genuinely odd and wonderful thing to watch people grown and change without actually knowing them in person.

  22. I have been reading your blog for about 3 years now, it was the very first one I ever started following and when I first found it I was so obsessed I went back and read up on all the ones I had missed! I am a Florida native who loves horses and used to ride them and now I live in a big city too so I really could relate to your blog.
Thank you so much for all the inspiration you give and your fantastic sence of style!

  24. A couple years ago I remembered that there was this girl on LiveJournal that I had enjoyed reading stuff from. I think I found your LJ through your clothing line, and found your clothing line because I was thinking of starting one. So after some googling (think I remembered the name 'postlapsaria' or something close to it), I found this blog, and I was really impressed by how far you had come. It was actually really cool to see, and I've been a regular reader since. I'm not sure if I ever left comments on your LJ.

I am in awe of what you have been able to accomplish over the last several years, just following your heart and doing what you love. Its truly inspiring.

  35. Dear lovely Keiko,

I've been reading your blog since LJ days! May 2005, I remember because I ordered something from Postlapsaria just before my trip to NYC :) I wore one of your pieces all over NYC.

My LJ name was hellakitty, we followed each other on LJ and technicaly still do. :P

It is so amazing to see what you've done in the last decade! I feel like I've grown up with you and your family. Also, it'd be so sad if you ever stopped blogging. Don't let it happen! I love seeing your creative projects; it is so inspiring.

  41. I honestly don't know when I eventually became a regular reader of "keiko lynn." It was some time in 2010 or 2011 (maybe 2010). All I do know is that I eventually became a regular reader and haven't been disappointed. Speaking of not being disappointed, I have nothing but love for this fabulous outfit. The shirt and skirt have just the right amount of contrast to be beautiful together along with the sweater. You look oustanding.

  54. Hello Keiko!
I've only been reading your blog for about a year now, and it's to my own surprise and your great credit that I am such an avid follower. I'm not terribly interested in fashion, I don't live in NYC (currently teaching ESL in South Korea w/ my hubs! :D), and I have a total of 4 items of makeup. But you have thoroughly charmed me. I look forward to every new post as a kind of treat for that day, so thanks for putting forth a quality blog with excellent photos and lovely wardrobe finds, and thanks for being a lovely human being! :) I'm definitely looking forward to the day when Postlapsaria gets up and running again and I'll get to see more of YOUR own work!
    Take care.

I actually didn't start following your blog on LJ but how I did find you is pretty funny... I was looking for a youtube video done in ASL and I came across your "I know an old lady" video sometime in 2006 I believe......
