Outfit Details:
hat - Gap
leather jacket - c/o Coach (old)
Rumi dress in broken glass print - borrowed from Rebecca Minkoff
DVF Opal platforms - c/o DVF
Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac - c/o Rebecca Minkoff
bracelets - vintage and Carol Marie bangle
I borrowed this dress from Rebecca Minkoff for my trip to LA. I originally intended to wear it to the People's Choice Awards, but ended up wearing it in the CVS Beauty Club segment, instead, and didn't get a chance to photograph it. I took advantage of one of those strangely mild winter days in New York and recreated the outfit (yeah, I'm lame like that but also okay with it). Only, I realized that there's a reason I don't go bare legged in winter, and it isn't just because it's cold. It's because winter legs are horribly unattractive - dry, blotchy and a different kind of pale. But still, I love this dress and feel a little more confident in it than usual. It's just one of those dresses. Or maybe it's the fact that it blows in the breeze and makes every entrance look like it could be part of an 80s rock ballad video. Yeah, that's probably (definitely) it.

You look darling. I love the pop of color with your teal coat. xo, rv

though her legs felt leaden, dark, blocks of metal waiting to be sculpted and shaped into something new, the fabric blew, moved in quick swaths like some ephemeral scythe, gleaning fragments of light from the sun.

ReplyDeleteYou are certainly a lot braver than I to go out in winter barelegged. I shiver at the slightest breeze and usually wear a couple layers of tights.
