For my second T.J.Maxx/Marshalls gift guide, I tackled the men's section. Honestly, I have a hard time shopping for the men in my family and usually end up resorting to gift cards. My grandpa is happier with breakfast at his favorite diner than he probably would be with any clothing I get for him. Bobby, however, is a cinch to shop for. I know that I did a good job picking his pieces, because he put that vest and pair of shoes in his closet before I even got the chance to photograph them. And just so you know, I got the shoes at Marshalls - they have an insane shoe section! It's worth it to go to both, because they each get totally different selections and each have a special section: T.J.Maxx has a great jewelry counter and the Runway section (dangerous territory when you're supposed to be shopping for other people, not yourself) and Marshalls has their Shoe MegaShop.

You can't go wrong with classics like leather gloves, a cashmere scarf or a pair of great boat shoes (if you know their size) - and a new wallet is something that a lot of men need but rarely replenish, themselves. Ties get bad reputations as far as holiday gifts go, but as long as you stray from obnoxious prints or novelty ties, I think they're a great gift! I picked a matte silk tie with a fun color, because I know Bobby will wear it well - but when in doubt, go with simple, simple, simple.

  4. I always have trouble thinking of what to get my dad, because he's not into clothes at all, and the things he's into I don't know anything about. Luckily this year I stumbled upon a Grateful Dead tee shirt in Target, which I'll know he'll wear because he loves the Grateful Dead. Target has a lot of band tee shirts right now, so if you need a present for a guys whose into music, and you want something more personal than an iTunes gift card, that's a great place to look.
