leather jacket - c/o Coach (last year, no longer available)
dress - c/o Corey Lynn Calter
shoes - J. Crew Mona
Whenever I'm in a rush or having one of those silly "I have nothing to wear" moments - which is often, despite my overflowing closets - I tend to grab a dress and this jacket. See here, here, here, and here for examples. It's my dressed up version of jeans and a t-shirt, a usual go-to. I only recently received this dress, but I can already see it being worn over and over. I hate to use the term "remixed," because heck, shouldn't all of your clothes be in steady rotation? Still, I'm excited to wear this dress over and over and in many combinations - much like my old faithful jacket.

I adore this dress! Can't wait to see how you "remix" it ;)
ReplyDeleteAww, love the dress.
ReplyDeletethis dress is adorable! i love how you took something super innocent looking and girlie and you added some toughness to it with a leather jacket. well done!
ReplyDeletethat dress is so pretty and feminine. it looks fantastic with the leather jacket. i have a go-to outfit that just always seems to work too :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty... and so true..I often find myself looking for something I haven't worn, when you should grab what you love and remix it...I have so many dresses like this I might just have to throw on my leather jacket! Thanks for the inspiration Keiko!

Beautiful pattern. I think I'm going to "copy" the idea of wearing a beautiful dress instead of jeans + t-shirt, when I find nothing to wear. I understand your opinion about "remixing". But it's not always so easy, sometimes we find a cute way to wear a certain garment & we stay loyal to that combination. I think many people do that (at least the people I know lol), sometimes it's difficult to get away from the comfort zone. Personally, I avoid to wear the same outfit head-to-toe twice (although I have a relatively small closet).
ReplyDeleteLovely dress ...;)

Oooh!! I just adore your dress!! The colors and patterns are perfect, and I love it with your leather jacket. <3 I'm a huge fan of floral/girly dresses with leather jackets. It's a perfect balance between girly and masculine. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! I love the bright, bright florals and the really feminine cut. It's short enough and has got just enough swing in the skirt so can be easily dressed up or down! I have a really similar one, base colour purple, and I always pair it with lemon yellow flats to match the florals. Can't wait to see how you "remix" this - want to steal some tips from you! Thanks again for sharing this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with this outfit and the amazing dress! <3

I love this go-to outfit. The dress is adorable with the fun colors and print. I really enjoy that jacket paired with it too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of the old faithful pieces in my closet... which is all of them these days! This dress is so vibrant and looks quite well made!
ReplyDeleteI love the juxtaposition of dainty flowery girl and biker chick. I would totally wear that. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love this dress! That flowery pattern with that black stripes.
ReplyDeleteAll clothes should be on rotation...I wear the things I love till they fall apart!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your dress! And I do the same thing as you: my "jeans and tee shirt" type outfits are usually comfortable dresses and a sweater/jacket. So easy, but still put-together!
