I never sleep in my makeup, except last night. I fell asleep shortly after completing these pictures (at a horrible hour of almost 5 AM) and woke up this morning, with my eye makeup completely intact. The rest of me was a hot mess, but my eyes looked great.
While I don't recommend sleeping in your makeup (I'm looking at you, Kim), I do think this proved how long Urban Decay's makeup lasts - plus, the quality is great. The primer potion keeps shadows from creasing, their shadows are buttery smooth and vibrant, and the liners stay put.
Since these colors are practically neon, I decided to keep them close to the lid (stopping at the crease) and paired them with a muted gloss. Want to know how to recreate this look? Keep reading after the jump for step by step instructions and a full product list.

For the eyes: Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in Peace, Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in Graffiti, Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in Scratch, Urban Decay Primer Potion (professional size), Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil from the travel size set, Urban Decay Lush Lash.

bottom to top: Urban Decay blending brush, crease brush, shadow brush (full instructional brush post coming next Monday!)

Cheeks and lips: Urban Decay blush brush, Smashbox Blush Rush in Chiffon, Urban Decay Stardust Sparkling Lip Gloss in Andromeda
(all Urban Decay products were supplied by the company)

Something I've noticed is that you never seem to use (or just never show) eyelash curlers. What's your opinion on them?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have the primer and Peace and I am CRAZY about them!
The neon is so much fun! So beautiful. x

I absolutely LOVE your hair here! I love how it frames your face. Oh how I wish I had straight hair.
ReplyDeleteIt's smokey party eyes sans the heavy black liner...uber cool!!
ReplyDeleteHi Keiko,
ReplyDeleteThis colour is AMAZING but I think only you could pull it off. You look so fab in it!
Just a question - do you notice a difference between using your fingers to apply the shadow and using a brush? Or does either work equally well for you? Thanks again for sharing, I'm looking forward to your brush post next week!
So pretty! Love the fringe by the way. Just Gorge!
