I'm updating at 10:40 PM because I should be packing, and I'm a procrastinator. I should probably go and pack right now...but in the meantime, does anyone have any shop or restaurant recommendations for Nashville? Kim and I are heading there tomorrow, and we would love to have your input!

  5. I cannot believe you're coming to my hometown, and I'm not even there. This is my sad face.
Anywho, check out the Pancake Pantry: people go nuts for the place. Also, try out YOLOS in Green Hills Mall. The food there is awesome. Green Hills mall is also a great place to shop. I would recommend Opry Mills, but considering that it's still underwater and everything, maybe not the best idea. If you're interested in traveling about 10 miles, check out the Chill Spot in Murfreesboro on the MTSU campus. They have amazing wraps and bubble tea. Nashville is full of thrift stores and beautiful places. I hope you have fun, and have an amazing time in TN!!

  18. Yeah, I totally second City House; it's delicious. For good Southern food or an amazing and nasty burger, go to Rotiers. If you can get to Martin's BBQ (a bit out of town but TOTALLY worth it), do it. Prince's Hot Chicken should be also experienced. Go with nothing hotter than medium; don't even look at the hot. It will burn you eyes out.

  22. pre to post modern is a great vintage shop on 8th south. pancake pantry is fun. it's touristy but the food is really good! you have to stop by the parthenon in centennial park, it is a great place to take photos. and if you see the grilled cheeserie food truck around, eat there! it is my favorite in nashville at the moment.

  40. Try Burger Up! They have amazing portabella burgers and all of their meat is locally farmed. You should also try Las Paletas. It's a gourmet popsicle shop...yum! Have a great trip!

  41. Hey! You have to go to Savant vintage couture! I styled a fashion show in Nashville and we pulled all of the clothing from this store. It's pretty much amazing! Have fun...you'll love Nashville! Especially this time of year!

  42. Loveless Cafe, Burger Up, The Frothy Monkey (which is a coffee shop), and if you're in the mood for a frozen treat Las Paletas. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Totally agree with everyone. I've lived in Nashville for years and still haven't made it to Pancake Pantry. A great little Coffee shop is Frothy Monkey and right down the street is Burger Up which is to die for and next door to that is Las Palates and they have the most amazing ice cream/Popsicle thingies ever! There are some neat shops around 12th South. Green Hills mall is great too, but I can never afford anything in there.... well mostly not anything. Definitely go Downtown just for a bit, but keep in mind that at all the touresty bars you wont find any drink specials. And keep an eye out for the weather. It's been super wonky lately. 70 degrees one day then the next its like 45. Craziness I tell you. I'm super excited you're coming to my town... even though I wont meet you its still super cool to see that someone I follow is here. :)

  45. If you like used books go to Book Man or Book Woman. I love those stores for old screenplays but I've found some really neat old books there too.

There used to be a cute vintage store called Flashback but they went out of business :( Sad.

anywho... let us know how you like our town! have fun!

  55. I love Nashville! My ex used to live there, so I went there a bunch of times. I second the recommendations for Prince's (get mild!), Las Paletas, and Pancake Pantry. Also recommend Germantown Cafe (brunch, lunch or dinner, it's all amazing), Fido (off-beat coffeshop with yummy bagel sandwiches) and Rosepepper Cantina (delicious margaritas and Mexican food).

  56. I am from Nashville and Hillsboro Village is one of my favorite areas of town to go to. Fido (a wonderful coffee shop), Pangea (a shop with some fabulous dresses), and McDougals Chicken are some of my favorite places there. Baja burrito is also a great place for food. I hope you enjoy your trip!

  57. Love! Especially the navy leggings with blue shoes - too cute

  58. Love the shoes. So perfect.

I adore nashville and miss it so much! I loved GiGi's cupcakes and Bosco's for a good brew and food. Downtown is pretty fun. I love Green Hills area for shopping.

    Have loads of fun!

  59. I have been a huge fan of your blog and am so excited that you are in Nashville! What are you here for? I would recommend checking out the shops and restaurants in Hillsboro Village, especially Pangaea, Fire Finch, Pancake Pantry, and Fido's! If you're looking for good southern food I would suggest the famous Loveless Cafe!

  60. My favorite places to eat in Nashville are Mas Tacos Por Favor, Taco Mamacita and Las Paletas.
