Outfit Details:
striped sweater - H&M
leopard button up - thrifted
wide leg pants - c/o Gap and Lookbook
Coach classic shoulder bag - c/o Coach
Seychelles Chant heels - c/o Seychelles
bracelets - Nine West

At this point, I'm really just messing with Kim. As you may recall, my dear friend hates leopard print. After yesterday's spotted outfit post, she actually sent me a text that said, "F***ing leopard print Keiko da**it" - just like that. She was apparently so angry, she forgot to use punctuation.

Now, I love my Kimberly but I also like to push her buttons. It's just what we do (in good fun, of course). So, Kimberly, this post is for you. I was originally wearing a black button up but would have been remiss to overlook this opportunity to mess with you. Leopard, leopard, leopard! :)

p.s. This isn't a great "after" picture of my hair (full update later) but this is my new color and slightly updated cut. Subtle changes can make a big difference!

  1. I love leopard print! And thank you for showing that wide legs pants do look good. Some people are reluctant to try them.

  8. Leopard print does run the risk of making you look like Anna Nicole Smith, but it can be lovely if worn in the right way, which you do quite well! ;)

  10. Ha! This post is funny, my bff & I, love to mess with each other in similar ways. I think the leo print makes the outfit just a little more interesting (interesting is a good way).

  24. I like your new hair color a lot! I've been trying to grow my hair out long long long again since I donated all of it (ALL of it) almost 2 years ago.

I get so frustrated with the "awkward" phase and your pictures of your hair are such a good inspiration to keep on growing!

  26. Vanessa,

I know! I rarely do the pants thing. I have been shopping for more pants because I am in desperate need of them in my life. I have thick thighs, so it's a difficult feat to find some that work for me. I got a couple of pair at F21, though - their pants fit me surprisingly well.

  27. Apeshite: I got about three hours of sleep last night, so when I woke up at a stupid early hour, I queued up some new posts. I have so many because I'm at least a week behind!

  28. I love your layering with the leopard and the sweater! So cute! On a side note your glasses are just too adorable and I'm in desperate need of new ones. Are yours prescription? If so where did you find them if you don't mind me asking? Thanks a bunch xoxo

  29. I'm such a HUGE fan, and often use your photos as outfit inspiration. I'm digging the splash of leopard today! I am wondering if you might consider throwing in a few more warm-weather posts before the summer ends. I know it's not cool enough in NYC (my hometown) to wear long sleeves and a sweater, and here in L.A. I certainly won't be wearing anything nearly that cozy until October or November. Do you have anymore lovely tanks/shorts/summer attire combos to share???

    ReplyDelete
  30. Laura: Thank you! They're prescription. I bought them at the store next to my mom's in Florida, but these are the model: http://www.ray-ban.com/usa/products/optical/RB5226?var=2034

    ReplyDelete
  31. Talia: This outfit was hurricane weather - it was eerily cool (in the low 60s - which for Floridian blood is downright freezing).

I'm probably the worst for summer inspiration, because I hate tanks or anything that shows my arms - I'm a weirdo. I like to layer and I love longer sleeves. This is about as summery as I get: http://www.keikolynn.com/2011/08/rock-you-like-hurricane.html

  32. I adore leopard print. Last year I even invested in a fake fur leopard print coat. My fiance thinks it looks so tacky and I wasn't sure if I'd be brave enough, but I wore it all winter!

  48. I love your hair color and cut... My color keeps shifting to a red, even though it's supposed to be more gold-based brown. I don't do red hair anymore, as it doesn't look good on my now.

I think that your outfit rocks! I love animal prints layered with basic pieces.
