My thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes go out to you and everyone else in the immediate path of Hurricane Irene (including anyone reading my post who are from the locations where Irene is set to hit). I'll be thinking of all of you dealing with Hurricane Irene.
hurricanes sucks, :/ i live in Chile, and all the last year was horrible, with all the earthquake, all my best wishes and blessing and prayers for you, your friends & family and the city <3, be safe, xoxo
Oooh, I live in Philadelphia and will be expecting a visit from Irene tomorrow. Haven't experienced anything like it before so I'm a little nervous, wish me luck :)
I'm on the West Coast, so hopefully Irene won't make it over here! But you stay save Keiko!! And that goes for any other East Coasters reading this comment. :]]
Good luck! I'll be enduring it tomorrow, too. I've got my jugs of water filled, some food ready to eat without heating, and a good book for the daylight hours.
Ah I'm nervous for you! Stay safe! I live all the way over in California and we got a teeny storm today and it freaked me out imagining it way worse over there :/
The phrase 'hunker down' makes me giggle - 'bunker down' is the one we use in Australia! Looks like you decided to stay put which I think is good under the circumstances - when the tail of Cyclone Yasi hit my city earlier this year alot of people left town only the usually safe inland places they fled to also copped the end of the storm, it was just that big. We stayed in town, though were asked to evacuate our apartment as it's on the ground floor of a low lying seaside suburb and we had the storm surge issue too. Thinking of everyone - hope it's not as bad for NYC as it has been for other areas on the US East Coast :(
Hope you guys are doing okay over there! I'm in CT and all I can do is keep glued to the local news and refresh their FB page every other minute, haha. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
You and all the other lovely east coasters will be in my thoughts.
It was kinda read when I opened this. I read the title, saw the picture, and then the song Thursday by the Weekend started playing. My internet seems to want to add drama to your life. XD
I heard it was a ghost town in NYC after the announcements went out from the mayor. We didn't have to evacuate, though there was some flooding. Personally, we got off rather easy. The kitties always take it in stride. :-) Mine loved watching the leaves blowing around...
aww..fat kitty!! i see you guys are hunkering down haha hope everyone stays safe!
