As I mentioned in this post, I decided to give Urban Decay's 15-year anniversary eyeshadow collection its own feature. One problem: there are so many colors, I might have to do a few more looks with different shadows! This palette is extra special because it includes 15 all new colors - no pre-existing shades. It has a great variety of bright, saturated and more subdued shadows. For this first look, I went for a high impact look with neutral shades.

Primer Potion
Urban Decay's 15-year anniversary eyeshadow collection (I only used the ones with check marks on them in the picture above)
24/7 waterproof liquid liner in Perversion
Milani Liquif'eye metallic eye liner pencil (got it at CVS, not available in their online store)
Lush Lash mascara
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Refined on cheeks (discontinued)
Julie Hewett Cheekie in Bette on lips

so pretty! how do you get your eyebrows to be that shape? they looks very planned out, but not pencilled....I don't know if that makes sense, but I don't like my eyebrow shape and i'm wondering if I have options.
ReplyDeleteI love your make-up! Anyways, I am from Japan and a huge fun of you! I love that you are wearing something super unique!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fantastic look, it goes from basic to pow in like 2.5 seconds. :)I love Urban Decay's eye shadows, they are sooo blendable together.

Kitsune-kun: Thank you! I follow my natural shape, which is why one brow is so different than the other. But when I had them threaded by an absolute master, she was able to even them out. I haven't quite figured out how! I just fill them in with pencil because they are quite sparse.
ReplyDeletemikamouse: Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteErin: They're like buttah;)
i really like flow and vanilla....overall look is stunning on you, well done :)

Wow, STUNNING! I need to recreate this look...even if it turns out half this good it'll be a success. Quick questions, how smudge-proof/waterproof are the eyeliners? Is the liquid easy to use?
ReplyDeleteLidi @ Eclectic Flair
This is gorgeous! I LOVVVVE it:) Especially the winged liner - you wear that so well:)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.maydae.com
i ADORE your makeup mondays - but i have to say this is my favourite so far. Such a stunning look Keiko! i love it!
ReplyDeleteLidi: They're completely budge proof and water proof - no creasing, so running lines. I usually swear by MAC fluidlines (I still do) but in this sweltering heat, I switched to liquid liners. I've been switching between these and Estée Lauder's liquid liner - love both of them.
ReplyDeleteLidi: p.s. If you're new to liquid liners, try the UD ones. They have a really thin brush and the handle is steady to use. The Estée Lauder one has a stiffer, sponge-like tip that I really like, but it's less forgiving if you need to fix a line. The UD ones are a little more flexible. Start with a thin line and then build to what you like.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love these shades on you..they make your eye color pop and your skin looks amazing! I wear grey toned shadows a lot, it brings out the green in my brown eyes and I feel like it makes them look lighter.

such a simple yet beautiful look. absolutely love it :)
ReplyDeleteSo glamorous and sexy. I did a similar look with deeper coper times today and a lot of bronze and gold. I love the way you're blending to ensure a even hand and a more precision look. I am in love with MAC eyeshadows, but every once in a while I get a wild hair to break a tin of urban Decay. I love the Shotgun color a lot, but I am all out. I am going to try your technique tomorrow. I think it is more pro looking! <3 ;D
ReplyDeletehttp://stylespook.blogspot.com/
UN-believable. Your eyes look insane (in the best way possible). I always want to do something different when i go out but never have the courage to play around with eyeshadows (mainly because I don't know the best techniques) so I am going to follow your steps this weekend and hopefully see some hot results! :)

ReplyDeleteKeiko, I just stumbled upon your blog a few days ago and I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteThe make up is beautiful. I did have a question... you have gorgeous pouty lips (I'm very envious)... do you line outside the lips at all?
Everyone says that is supposed to help us thin lipped girls, but I just think it looks weird. Maybe I'm not doing it right... :)
Love your blog!
