Makeup Monday: Hot Lips!

Duo-tone lips and bright liner – what I used (all by Urban Decay unless otherwise stated):face: Smashbox Photofinish (primer), Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
brows: Shobha brow pencil in Sand, UrbanBrow styling brush and setting gel
Eyes – Primer Potion, Vanilla eyeshadow (from the new shadow set), 24/7 waterproof liquid eyeliner in Radium, lush lash mascara, instaflare lashes
cheeks – ELF blush in Mellow Mauve
lips – Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors in Crush (top) and Punch Drunk (bottom)

Urban Decay recently shared their newest (extensive) collection with me, and I couldn’t wait to post some of my favorites. What I love about Urban Decay is that they’re not afraid of crazy, bold colors – and they do them so well. This collection, which celebrates their 15th anniversary, does not disappoint! Their new shadow set has fifteen all new eyeshadows and deserves a post of its own (coming soon). Actually, the entire list of new products is pretty extensive, so for now, I’m focusing on their new  Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors and 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in this post.

Since my go-to look is bold, winged liner (tutorial here) on the upper lashline and bold lips,  I was pretty thrilled about Urban Decay’s new lip colors and quirky colored liquid liners. Like the name states, the lip colors are super saturated – they’re like a lip liner, lipstick and gloss all in one. No extra steps required!

Swatches of Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors and 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner after the jump!

From left to right: smog, woodstock, siren, sabbath, revolver, eldorado, demolition, retrograde, perversion, bobby dazzle, radium. See descriptions here. I put a few swatches on my hand and then did the dishes. They’re definitely waterproof – they didn’t budge.

Crush, my favorite of the lot. It’s a super pigmented, bright pink and goes on smoothly.

Punch drunk is a saturated orange/poppy color. Also really smooth and easy to apply.

Big Bang is a bright fuchsia and has micro glitter. If my friend Kimberly was a lip color, this would be it. I love this one.

Adrenaline has more of a reddish tint to it than Big Bang – it’s a raspberry color. It also has microglitter. They’re not gritty at all but you definitely need to use makeup remover or else you’ll have a little bit of residual glitter on your lips when you wipe it off.

F-Bomb is a perfect, sultry red. Of the five, I haven’t tested Adrenaline and F-Bomb beyond a few minutes (for pictures), so I can’t yet attest to longevity. But the other three have great staying power and don’t bleed. In short, I love these.

What do you think? Will you be picking up any of the new lip colors or liquid liners?
