Frames

Despite the fact that I’m looking down or closing them in 99% of my photos (I’m nothing if not consistent – see also: messy updo), I actually have eyes. I also had severe headaches on a daily basis and major glasses envy – so much so, I sometimes donned a pair of fakes. I didn’t put two and two together until Bobby pointed out how horrible my vision was; I couldn’t read something that was three feet away from me and in big, bold letters. I kept saying, “But I have 20/20 vision!” Really though, the last time I had an eye exam, I was probably wearing a New Kids On The Block…everything (I even had a sleeping bag). Of course, as soon as I had an exam and was told that I did need glasses and yes, this is why you have a headache every single day, I pretty much jumped for joy. New glasses and my headaches will calm the heck down? Party time.

I don’t plan on ever wearing contact lenses, so I want to be able to change it up between a few different pairs. They’re my new favorite accessory. I just picked up a pair of vintage frames that are in need of prescription lenses (Tessa found them for me!) and I’ve already started looking for the next pair. So, imagine my surprise and delight when LensCrafters asked me to be one of their ambassadors – double party time! Next week, I’ll be going to one of their stores for a consultation and I’m going to hunt for a new pair of frames. If you see a pair on the site that you think I should try on, please let me know!

p.s. They’re having their back to school semi-annual lens event from now until September 12th.
