lace and fringe jacket - self made, sample for Postlapsaria
This is my reminder to everyone about my partnership with Rebecca Minkoff to raise funds for ARK, in aid of animals affected by the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan. I also added the outfit details, since so many of you asked! As a thank you for all of your help, we'll also be giving away this one of a kind MAC clutch (illustrated by Logan Real) to one of our lucky participants. Please take a second to do the following, and make sure to tell your friends. We have had an inspiring response so far, so thank you for all of your help.
Like Rebecca Minkoff on Facebook. For every new fan Rebecca Minkoff receives from now until June 6th they will generously donate $1 to ARK.
Read the original post here for more ways you can help. Check Rebecca's facebook for more details on how to win the clutch. Thank you all so much for the retweeting, posts and facebook sharing I've been seeing. You are wonderful and the animals thank you!

What a wonderful cause and that purse is SO gorgeous! I love how you're helping out these lovely animals.
ReplyDeletei have been following your blog for awhile. i love your style (obviously), but i loved how down to earth you always made your posts seem. i lately have been feeling that you 'show off' to your readers, more so than other bloggers. the fact that you specify what clothing items you 'buy' and what is 'gifted.' i love ya keiko, just wondering whats goin on lately :/...

Love your blog girl! Keep up the good posts! Love your style and how you mix it up.
ReplyDeleteNo Keiko, YOU are wonderful and the animals thank YOU! This is such a great cause! As always, you are beautiful both inside and out! :D

Anonymous: I say what is gifted because it is full disclosure and a requirement by the FTC. I used to say "courtesy of" and a lot of people didn't know what I meant by that, so I now say "gift from" - so you know I didn't buy it. I'm not trying to brag - I'm just being transparent. These are things that are given to me in hopes of me wearing them on the blog, and since I didn't buy them with my own funds, I think I owe it to my readers to let them know that. It would be shady as hell if I didn't.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you've brought so much attention to this cause. As an animal lover, I really feel for the animals and their families who are affected by what has happened in Japan. Also, it's very responsible of you to state which items were gifts. Thanks for being honest and setting a good example for people to follow. I always love reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you, gals. Your support has been tremendously helpful. I really appreciate everything everyone has done to bring awareness not to just this cause, but to every cause I bug you guys about:)
ReplyDeleteKeiko, I think you're amazing. Now I've only been following your blog for a few months but I love all your posts! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so down to earth and I love the fact that you post about stuff you do in real life, eg eat yummy pies, etc. :)
Forget about the negative people, they are just envious of how amazing you are.
I think you do a great deal for the community, and this fund goes to show it.
Keep on doing your thing love. You have so many fans out there!

Such a great cause for helping the precious animals so thank you! and love the outfit and cute doggy! xo
ReplyDeleteAprilia, thank you. I don't think she was trying to be rude or anything; I think she was just confused by my wording. I just don't want anyone to think I'm trying to brag - I am horrified by that notion. I am simply giving full disclosure and following FTC guidelines. I think I'll go back to "courtesy of." Even though I know I'll get a lot of questions, I don't want anyone to think that "gift" means I'm omgbff with the designers. Because I'm certainly not that cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this cause. I few months ago I saw a reportage about lost dogs after hurricane katrina, really made me cry.
