Makeup Monday: CVS/Pharmacy Beauty Board

I’m incredibly excited to announce my partnership with CVS/Pharmacy as a member of their brand new Beauty Board! As the style expert of the board, I’ll be showing how to incorporate the latest style trends into everyday life.

Since I started Makeup Mondays, many of you have requested more affordable cosmetic recommendations. With The Beauty Board, I’ll be doing just that! I’ll be giving dedicated tutorials, trend reports and personal product recommendations within reach for everyone, both on the CVS Beauty Club facebook page and on some of my Makeup Monday posts. You don’t have to break the bank (when it comes to makeup or fashion) in order to look and feel great; it’s achievable at any budget. The hardest part is knowing where to start – and that’s why I started my tutorial features. Practice and a little bit of guidance will make a world of difference. While I have a tendency to feature more dramatic looks, I’m going to start incorporating more accessible, everyday looks as well – starting with this super simple one that is perfect for Summer.

This is my go-to look: foundation, blush, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara. It takes all of a few minutes to complete and anyone can do it, so I figured it was the perfect starting point. If you need tips on applying liquid or gel liner, I have a tutorial here. What I used:

foundation: Almay Clear Complexion makeup
blush: Revlon Berry Flirtatious cream blush
liner: Milani Liquid Liner
mascara: Revlon Grow Luscious

lipstick: Revlon Gentlemen Prefer Pink

Super simple and perfect for summer! I used Almay Clear Complexion makeup because it has a nice clean feeling, keeps the oil away and has buildable coverage (I use tinted moisturizer when I want sheerer coverage) and cream blush for a natural looking rosy glow. You can use a cheek tint or powder blush, if you prefer – and if you aren’t 100% comfortable with liquid liner, use a pencil. If you’re worried about matching your foundation without testing it first, keep in mind that they have a money back beauty guarantee on all beauty purchases. If it doesn’t match or you don’t like it, just bring it back and try something else.
