Considering how much I talk about food, one might assume that all I do is eat. Eat and work. Look, I don't drink or smoke or do drugs and I certainly don't dance. This is my fun time. Let me have my pie.
I've lived pretty close to this little pie shop, Four & Twenty Blackbirds for the past couple of years, but it happens to be in an area that I rarely wander through. So, though it has been on my list of places to try, I didn't actually go there until Vanessa, Amy and Jenn arranged for a weekend pie journey. After much enjoyment, I decided to take Bobby. We had the salty honey custard pie, salted caramel apple pie and mint iced tea. Last time, I also sampled the Lavender Honey Custard and Black Bottom Oatmeal - all are delicious. If you're ever in the Park Slope/Gowanus part of Brooklyn or if you're feeling like taking a little journey, check out Four & Twenty Blackbirds. Tell them that Keiko sent you. They'll have absolutely no idea whom you're talking about.

To sum it up: Yum! That place looks like a pie treasure trove. So delectable.

much love.
Love this spot! I live relatively close as well and checked it out with a friend on a cold day--the salted caramel apple pie with a coffee was exactly what we needed. I at first thought your iced tea was beer, and got pretty excited at the prospect of pie AND beer, but I guess mint iced tea is pretty great too.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried Pies N Thighs in Williamsburg? Also some amazing pie...and fried chicken. Highly recommended.
You are torturing me with these pie pics! WHY CANT I EAT THEM NOW!? I expect for you to bring me here when I visit mmk???

SOOO yummy
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'm the same! I talk and obsess over food. I should work in food rather than try and get a job in fashion.
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks so amazing. My favourite is lemon meringue so I rarely stray from that, but those flavours sound delish!

I just found your blog today. I too live near 4&20 blackbirds.... Their pie is fan-fucking-tastic. I eat too much of it. Which is in part, why I am green with envy over all your adorable outfits. They don't make things that are remotely as cute in sizes for girls who eat too much pie. That said, you're totally a style inspiration.
