I somewhat recently thrifted this skirt, and though the 90s kid in me wants to pair it with Doc Martens, an oversized shirt, crocheted vest and a mini backpack - I generally restrain myself. I say "generally" because I'm not promising it won't ever happen; I do watch a lot of 90s tv shows. Here are a couple of ways I've worn it recently: once in New York, once in Florida (at my mom's store). It has quickly become a go-to item; it's easy to throw an outfit together around this skirt. Maybe not as easy as a pair of jeans, but easy nonetheless. Also, epic photo bomb, courtesy of my very pregnant sister. The end.

p.s. the title of this post has nothing to do with anything, except that I was listening to The Cranberries and they fit the 90s theme.

  1. I love every outfit you wear that jacket with, it's my fave of yours for sure. The skirt is awesome too!

  2. I think it's funny that it's been at least twenty years since the 90s (yikes!) so that it's been trickling itself back into the vogue lately. I think the funny thing is that because I'm a 90s child, I intentionally am averse to boxy denim jackets and Doc Martens. Well, I'm warming up to Docs, at least! I love how you paired it, though. An unexpectedly easy piece!

    hahahahahahahahaha

what a presh, pregnant photo bomb. You look hilariously awkward. :D

  4. Vintage Hippo: Thanks - It's my favorite, too! I bet everyone can tell by the amount of times I have worn it.

Charmalade: I know! It's the most awkward picture ever but I love it.

Diane: the cranberries! That's so awesome. I'm envious.

  10. I'm loving that long, flowy cardigan. It's perfect with the skirt.

I have also been having 90's fantasies. I wish I weren't so young then, I would love to be able to play with those styles as an adult. What I wouldn't give to have my 3 pairs of Doc Martins back...

  19. I love the epic photo bomb! That is something I would totally do to someone if they were trying to take a picture. Sometimes, when you realize the belly won't go away anytime soon, you just have to insert the belly into life..and into other peoples' photos. :)

  45. Don't fall into the jeans trap. Jeans are lazy and sloppy. You are far too stylish to go that route. Both of these looks are your style for sure. Effortless. Feminine. Classic. Sharp.
