matryoshka doll necklace (only $12.50!)- courtesy of Anirtak
floral chiffon top - courtesy of Threadsence
vintage slip - probably from my mom
skirt - H&M
socks - HUE (I got them at TJ Maxx or Marshalls)
Dany shoes - courtesy of Jessica Simpson Collection
Lily diamond bag - courtesy of Ralston
bracelets and rings - all vintage, from my mom's store (Hourglass) and my grandpa's store (Hourglass II)
lipstick - MAC Unlimited pro longwear lipcreme
Katrina sent me this matryoshka doll necklace quite awhile ago, and though I wear it often - I never seem to photograph my outfits on those days. Bobby collects anything having to do with matryoshka dolls, including tattoos (and the actual objects themselves), so I knew he would get a kick out of this necklace. He even has this pepper mill.
As for myself, I'm a collector of everything panda. Ever since I was a wee little stinker, dragging Snowball everywhere I went, family and friends have defaulted on the panda present. I couldn't be more pleased. As it stands, I have panda purses, panda blankets, a panda lunch tote, panda mugs, a panda pushpin cushion, panda art, panda pajamas, panda jewelry, panda everything. Do you collect anything in particular?

the necklace is too cute :)
ReplyDeleteI collect clothing, bags, jewelry etc that have a cat on. I love cats! I have a tunic with three cats, that's my favourite find from London, Camden market: http://eliise-s.blogspot.com/2010/10/comfort-zone.html I also have a bag from Zara with a lovely cat detailing: http://eliise-s.blogspot.com/2010/08/kott-zarast.html
ReplyDeleteCats are wonderful :)

ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! I love how you combined the dress with the chiffon top!!! Beauty!

Michele: I'm also a Florida girl and I LOVE manatees! Swimming with them is one of my favorite things to do while I'm down there.
ReplyDeleteTurtles! And tortoises! I'm not sure how it got started, but I now have a preponderance of plush sea turtles in the back seat of my car and a few little turtle figurines scattered amongst my other odds and ends, including one in very early celluloid plastic...really I collect anything small and fascinating, though.
ReplyDeleteEliise: That tunic is out of control - I love it! And I cant believe that purse is from Zara...looks like it would be an amazing vintage find.
ReplyDeleteRose: My grandma has a condo on the beach and I stayed up late one night to watch the sea turtles lay their eggs. The people are really protective of sea turtles and move them to higher ground and put borders around until they hatch. They are the cutest little creatures.
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing outfit , the shape of the skirt is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT NECKLACE. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Keiko, you always look so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI collect owl everything. It started out as a joke between my friend and I (I bought her a owl piggy bank as a going-away gift, because my name means "little wise owl"). Now everyone buys us both owl things. It's getting a little out of hand, but I love it.
lovely look

i collect elephants =) it started with my mom getting me an elephant stuffed animal for christmas when i was like 12 and it grew from there. i became obsessed with them! friends and family often get me elephant figurines for birthdays and other holidays, but they are mostly given by my mother <3
ReplyDeleteOh, my boyfriend is a collector of panda lol. He has a lot of panda bear, they are so cute!

Love that dress on you! The silhouette is really flattering. I myself collect hippos like you do pandas. :)
ReplyDeletei was obsessed with pandas for years (and still am a little). i have panda earmuffs that i don't need to wear here in california, but i keep them around anyway :)
ReplyDeleteMatryoshka dolls are so neat. My husband and I went to Russia a couple of years ago and there were large stalls at the bazaars devoted just to them. We saw tiny ones, smaller than a grain of rice! Also they will paint anything on them - I even saw an Obama matryoshka.

When I was a kid, it was Goofy. You know, the Disney dog-thing? I had slippers, PJs, comforter- the wallpaper border around my room was Goofy. I even had a Goofy watch that moved counterclockwise!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I grew out of that phase - Pandas are much cuter than Goofy!
I collect snails mostly... and I have a fair collection of pandas which I have always loved as well. I actually had to dress up as a Panda for one of my ring night demands... it was pretty hilarious. I went all out face paint and all.
ReplyDeleteI love Pandas! Your outfit is amazing. Your shoes are perfection. I would just like to let you know that I love your blog so, so much!! It was one of the first blogs I ever followed and I've been hooked ever since.

Hi Keiko-
ReplyDeleteEver since I came across your blog I've fallen in love with your style, particularly the Coach Madison Brynne bag. Ive been on such a search for this bag and cannot find it anywhere. I love the color and shape. I couldn't even find it on eBay. Is there any way you can help me locate this bag? Or are you or someone you know willing to sell theirs? If you could help me out at all I would really appreciate it!!!!
Thank you so much!
-Christina

ReplyDeleteChristina: Unfortunately, they sold out of that bag and don't make it anymore. We tried to track it down for a couple of readers awhile back but they couldn't locate any. In the future, though, if you are ever looking for a specific style and need help, tweet @coachblkrwomen and Eliot will help you find it. She's the best!
ReplyDeleteRuzu: Mermaid hair?! That's the best compliment ever. haha
ReplyDeleteAndrea: I would gladly switch with you. Any day.
ReplyDeleteTeddi: Um, Teddi is the best name ever!

I collect all things elephants. I've always been pretty small and short, so I think I fell in love with how BIG they are. I have elephants everything as well: tattoos, jewelry, tables, hand carved totems from India, figurines in quartz, jade, ceramic, glass, and wood, teapots and cups, brooches, stuffed animals... the list goes on!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks amazing! Well, more amazing than usual. I used to get those dolls for holidays from my Polish grandmother. So cute! I need that necklace now.
