With all of this talk about color, I decided to give my go-to look a little update. It's a simple look that takes mere minutes to accomplish, by following my winged liner tutorial and replacing black or brown with something a little more, well...colorful.
What I used:
Eyes: MAC Liquidlast liner in Aqualine (using my winged liner tutorial), UD primer potion, Clinique mascara
face: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light, Smashbox Heartbreaker fusion soft lights (discontinued)
lips: Rouge Dior in Elegant Pink
brows: Shobha brow pencil in sand
Product Recommendations:
Urban Decay Liquid Liner
Prestige Liquid Liner
MAC Liquidlast Liner
LA Splash Metallic Eyeliner
Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes (pencil)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil
E.L.F shimmer eye liner (pencil)

I've got this eyeliner and I was thinking about using it on Thursday, how fun that you just came up with a look on it! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I've tried such a shade of eyeliner and I just didn't like the result, but you pull it off fantastically because of your brown eyes!
ReplyDeletePretty!

Updating a look sometimes is a no-brainer: change colour of eyeliner! Really love the pop of colour, and you truly are the liner queen!
ReplyDeleteThat colour looks stunning! I am terrible with liquid liners, but I may just have to try this.
ReplyDeletewow so simple and yet I would never think to buy such a bright color. It looks awesome though! I truly envy anyone with makeup skill. I often apply with the precision of a drunken octopus. (wow just reread this comment and wonder so much where I got that analogy from? Drunken octopus? hahaa)
ReplyDeleteThe winged tip technique paired with that liner colors is truly fantastic on you. Your eye makeup looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing what other makeup brands and items you used on besides yours eyes. I love the Dior lip color too, I will have to try it out!

What a pretty color! But with all the makeup you seem to wear, I can't help but wonder (as a blogger on Huffington Post asked), is your body a wasteland of toxic chemicals??
ReplyDeleteThere is lead in lipstick. Mercury in mascara. And enough carcinogens in everyday cosmetics to make any well-informed person squirm.
I know it isn't easy to ditch the products you love--but perhaps, as you use up items, consider replacing them with those that are healthy and safe--not only for us, but for the environment too.
I think once you start using truly natural and organic products, you won't ever go back to what you're using today. Check out www.spiritbeautylounge.com (an organic Sephora!) and www.saffronrouge.com to get started exploring a healthier lifestyle.
Using Revolution Organics, you could totally pull off this look! I know it. Good luck!
I don't mean to sound preachy, it just kills me to see women being duped by the cosmetics industry. They're self-regulating! And they truly don't care. If they did, they wouldn't be using the same synthetic chemicals that the UK has since banned.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Anyway, please forgive me, just want to help spread the word around!
I've never thought about using a colorful liquid liner! It looks amazing on you and I'd love to try it. I'm also so loving the lip color, I'm thinking both the liquid liner and lipstick will be my next cosmetic purchases! Can't wait to load up my face with toxic chemicals hahaha
ReplyDeletelove the teal eyeliner. You look in any makeup color/style you lucky girl!

Keiko, your eyes have a beautiful almond shape and are therefore naturally shaped to do this type of winged style. I have more rounded eyes? Any advice? I would love to successfully wear my eyeliner like this. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes. Glad your pup is doing better...
