This past week, Erin Fetherston debuted her new contemporary line, Erin. The collection is exactly what you would expect: overtly feminine, flirty and ultimately wearable across the board. The crowd at Milk Studios was downright chaotic - and a slew of people were turned away from the presentations altogether - but the mood inside of Erin's presentation was that of a very girlie dance party. Though the clothing was very pretty and the new price point much more wallet friendly, the absolute standout of the night was the hair, which was even donned by Erin herself. I can't wait to try it out!

post a hair tutorial when you do it! i have been trying to figure out how to do my hair like that for ages. :)
ReplyDeleteI will, once I figure it out! It looks like how I braid my horse's mane...

XOXO
I like how the looks are almost Grecian in a very modern, feminine way. The hair, I totally agree, is crayzay in the best way. And that's all real hair, right? It's beautiful. I agree, you should definitely try it out for yourself. But maybe test it out on Miku first? :)

What a lovely collection! The Grecian goddess style hair is so darling. Love how effortless the collection looks, yet it surprises with details like an oversized bow and billowy draping.

I don't see a lot of ethnic diversity, and I wish being flirty and pretty wasn't being associated with light-skinned women. Although maybe that wasn't Erin's intention, or perhaps more diverse women are just missing from this set of photographs.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love that tutorial that AlienBaby posted a few comments up. It's a pity I have short hair, but when it grows out I'm definitely giving that hair a try.
ReplyDeleteThat aside, Erin Fetherston! My absolutely favourite designer... in more affordable prices! Any idea what the price points for Erin are like? I'm getting so excited at even the possibility of snagging one of these darling dresses ♥
Love the photos! ♥
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to look at the clothes when the hair is so pretty! :)

I have to agree I love the hair and is the focal point of her entire piece. However, I can't really imagine how one would do it? If you figure it out I would love to see a tutorial! =0D

Great post. The clothes are good, but the hair is amazing. I think mine is too short to do this, but I am now motivated to grow it out so I can make a braided helmet every day! I can't wait for your tutorial. They are always so well done.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous: YES! I saw it in H&M yesterday and thought it looked very similar. I think it's a pretty standard design for a jacket, so I'm not surprised. H&M's pricetag is much lower, of course:)
