Project Restyle

I was so honored when Elsie and Rachel asked me to be a part of Project ReStyle. The challenge was to take something old and unusable (or just plain ugly) and make it into something new, and I had just the dress in mind! I bought this ugly, matronly dress at a thrift store because I liked the details and saw some potential beneath the shoulder pads and sporadic rust stains at the top. With a few alterations, I made it into a more wearable trapeze mini that fits right into my closet. I’m pretty happy with the results, and plan on salvaging a lot more of my old clothes in a similar way. Thank you for the inspiration, Rachel and Elsie!
