Just a couple of sillies in the photo booth at Bobby's work party. Any employer who hires a magician, ladies on stilts and has a photo booth for their employee party is okay in my book.





p.s. It looks like I'm balding, but I just had a serious case of bad hair.

  41. Katrina: I want one for my next party! I think my last party was when I was 16, but still.

    Sophie: A lot of people have asked me for a tutorial but I really don't know how to explain it except to say that you loop your hair through an elastic a couple of times and make a mess on top of your head. Once my hand is back to normal, I will try and make a real tutorial. I'm sorry I haven't done it yet!

    Emilyisasecret: Do you want to learn how to do a scalloped hem? They're a huge pain in the butt. I try to stay away from them, but my method of choice is to use a compass (you have to do a little math to find out how many scallops will fit along the hem and how large they can be), interfacing (to keep the scallops sturdy), and facing (basically a mirror of the hem - just another cut of fabric with the same design). Stitch the facing (with the "right" sides facing in). Before turning the facing inside out, you have to snip the inside corners. Flip the facing toward the inside and press the seams.

    This is why I'm not good with sewing tutorials...I'm so bad at explaining. I'll see if I can find you a good one online!

    Fanny: I try to reply back to any comments with questions that need to be answered and give thanks to everyone - usually collectively, because I don't want to reply with "Thanks!" a million times and annoy the heck out of everyone.

    Blogger's comments suck - I hate that you can't reply directly, because I always wonder if anyone even sees my replies. I'm thinking of changing to disqus but I'm always so weird about changing things!

  48. I watched this movie last night on Netflix called “Uncertainty” with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins. You should watch it. The movie was just ok but the couple lives in Brooklyn and look just like you and Bobby. In fact their names in the movie are Bobby and Katy which is rather. The whole movie I kept thinking this was really the two of you.
