I'm growing out my hair, like it was when I was single.

Outfit details:
Moto jacket - courtesy of Coach
belt - taken from another dress
vintage dress - thrifted
tights - Walmart
glasses - Bobby's
vintage beret - Hourglass Consignment (my mom's store)
Senso shoes - courtesy of Solestruck
MAC clutch - courtesy of Rebecca Minkoff
Lipstick - MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Unlimited (I *love* these)

I've been putting off getting a haircut for two reasons: money and length. I made a strange decision to cut off my long hair a few years ago - it was above chin length! I regretted it almost immediately and have been impatiently waiting to get back to longer locks. I know I'm way overdue for a trim, but when you're looking for length, even a trim sounds like a chore. It has now been months and months since I've had a cut or color, which is why I always have the messy updos. Now that the weather is cooler, I have rediscovered the magic of hats and their ability to conceal bad hair. I promise, ol' head of hair, I will give you a style and trim and possibly even a lovely color in the coming months. I'll do it even faster if Kitty Boos will get a job and start taking care of his vet bills.

Edit: Someone requested a photo of me with short hair...here you go!

  6. This has such an 80s vibe to it - the pretty feminine with the tough leather, with just a touch of quirkiness from the glasses and beret - love it!

  8. Really nice outfit! And I get the whole not wanting to cut your hair thing! You always say an inch and they take three! I decided to cut my A line extreme bob back to a straight length and I miss the hair on my shoulders! (but I had to do it, the ends were dead :/)

  13. Perhaps it is a myth, but I have heard that regular trims help your hait grow a bit quicker... it is nice to see it out anyway!

  21. Love the dress and jacket together :)

I have the exact situation with my hair. I chopped my long hair off into an a-line bob in '08 and it's now pretty much back to its long glory but I'm always in the mindset that I can't cut it because it needs to get longer!

  22. I'm very jealous you can pull off a beret, its something I've never been able to figure out!

I cut my hair above my chin just a few days ago, only because its so much easier to care for!

And those shoes are to DIE FOR! I'm totally in love ;)
