Tory Burch / Michael Kors

By now, you’ve probably seen all of these; this is old news. But I swore I would catch up with fashion week photos and I have to start sometime. Better late than never!

Can you guess which ensemble was my favorite? It deserved two photos! Soft pink and red is a favorite combination of mine, and that beaded detail was beautiful.

I had the pleasure of attending the Tory Burch presentation and Michael Kors in one morning. It was such a complementary pairing – both are the epitome of classic American chic. How perfect that I was also accompanied by my friend Christine, whom I think of as the classic All American Girl! I loved all of the bursts of colors at Tory Burch. It almost made me forget that summer was ending – and then Kors made me desperate to hold onto it. It wasn’t even the maillots and relaxed, unfussy garments fit for a vacation – it was the music,”Here Comes the Sun.” Girls from the Sunshine State don’t handle impending cold weather very well!

Our seats were further back; I don’t have any great photos (but that’s why we have style.com). For this reason, I have come to prefer presentations. However, Christine and I agreed that there’s nothing quite like a real deal runway show. It’s exciting when the lights go down and the music starts; it’s akin to seeing one of your favorite bands perform. Plus, where else can you see Virginia, Grace, Anna and Serena sitting in a row (with Lisa Love and Hamish Bowles in the second)? Or get your photo snapped by Bill Cunningham? We also got a good look at the Donald’s famous hair. I may have even snapped a picture of it on my fancy new phone.
