Can you guess which ensemble was my favorite? It deserved two photos! Soft pink and red is a favorite combination of mine, and that beaded detail was beautiful.
I had the pleasure of attending the Tory Burch presentation and Michael Kors in one morning. It was such a complementary pairing - both are the epitome of classic American chic. How perfect that I was also accompanied by my friend Christine, whom I think of as the classic All American Girl! I loved all of the bursts of colors at Tory Burch. It almost made me forget that summer was ending - and then Kors made me desperate to hold onto it. It wasn't even the maillots and relaxed, unfussy garments fit for a vacation - it was the music,"Here Comes the Sun." Girls from the Sunshine State don't handle impending cold weather very well!

Our seats were further back; I don't have any great photos (but that's why we have style.com). For this reason, I have come to prefer presentations. However, Christine and I agreed that there's nothing quite like a real deal runway show. It's exciting when the lights go down and the music starts; it's akin to seeing one of your favorite bands perform. Plus, where else can you see Virginia, Grace, Anna and Serena sitting in a row (with Lisa Love and Hamish Bowles in the second)? Or get your photo snapped by Bill Cunningham? We also got a good look at the Donald's famous hair. I may have even snapped a picture of it on my fancy new phone.

Your favorite is also mine. I am completely enthralled. So much so that I almost didn't read the rest of the post, because I just wanted to stare at the first picture for the rest of the day. The colors, the drape, the demure cut, the sassy yet lady like detail. I am in heaven. And I have to figure out how to recreate this somehow, someway.
ReplyDeleteGrace!!!! I can't even imagine being in the same room with those people. And seeing the show...ah...such a dream.
ReplyDeletelove the same dress too but also the orange blouse-printed skirt combination as well!
ReplyDeleteI just love Michael Kors so much! I have to say the fact that you and Christine are friends make me so thrilled. You are my two favorite bloggers so when you mentioned your friendship I was delighted!
