I had every intention of posting these yesterday, but a handsome little prince named Kitty Boos decided to chew straight through my charger. I do adore my little critters, but sometimes they can be little rascals. Right now they are sleeping like little angels - and thus, we begin the calm before the inevitable storm. I don't know what has gotten into them the past couple of weeks - maybe they're bored. I think they just need their new cat condo to arrive, and soon. They outgrew (and broke) the old one. Meanwhile, Miku is a perfect little princess and they could learn a thing or two from her.
H&M had a whole rack of these dresses on sale ($15), in various colors. They must have had a difficult time selling them, because they were extremely abundant - either that, or they just made way too many. Though a little hesitant in my purchase, wondering if every girl in the world would have this exact dress, I was won over by the pale pink. Plus, I'm a sucker for fringe and loose fitting dresses of versatility. I thought about removing the bottom band and letting the fringe hang loose, but it's bound to get caught on everything, so I'm leaving it be. As for the bag, it couldn't be more ideal. Maybe my dress isn't exactly unique, but the bag certainly is. My mom gives me the most amazing gifts.
Outfit Details:
blazer: H&M
fringe dress: H&M
belt: thrifted
vintage bag: a gift from my mom, from her store, Hourglass Consignment
shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Makeup notes: julie hewett cheekie cheek and lip shine in Bette on lips, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Refined on cheeks
Love love,
Keiko Lynn

That delicate pink really does bring to mind orchids or tiny tea roses budding on a window sill on a spring morning. I don't think every other girl in the world would have this dress, and even if she did, no one wears her clothes quite like you do, so you can feel assured that you will always be that unique girl on the street.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantastic outfit, and that bag! wow!
XXs,

Oh my God! That bag! It's killin' me! That dress looks great on you, by the way. I'm sure you'll wear it better than at least 99.8% of its other owners. :D
ReplyDeleteIs your mom's store located in NYC?
ReplyDeleteI love that dress and while I was looking at your pics I was thinking how unique it is but then again I do not have a H&M store in Tennessee! You look great regardless.

that bag is to DIE for amazing. can't believe that dress is H&M super chic. you pull it all together so well :)
ReplyDeleteThey had racks of those dresses at H&M here in Canada too. I just think they didn't sell. Most people can't handle fringe or are unsure how to wear it. I checked it out but they had none that would fit me (They don't carry plus size, but I score pretty often as they have really nice x-large or size 16 that are suppose to fit loose, but fit me well haha)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see atleast someone bought one those dresses. I happened to wear my new H&M dress today too.
What an amazing vintage bag!! I want it!

Sort of random but the picture of you in the title part of your blog 1) is really pretty and 2) reminds me a lot of the character Angela from the show Bones. I've been trying to figure out who the pic reminded me of for awhile now. >.O Fewf, glad I finally did.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress that maybe everyone else has. I wish I had it!
wow!!! this is just stunning!!! i love that dress!! :D and that purse is so unique! :D

i really like that cool handbag your mother gifted you from her own consignment shop. i love those beautiful jeffrey campbell shoes too. your h&m finds are wonderful-that dress is so pretty and fem.
ReplyDeleteA pretty pink fringe dress! That's the first one I've seen. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway I've been having a similar problem. I have two cats and one is a perfect angel (everyone who meets him-even cat haters-falls in love with him) while the other is quite naughty. He is snobby, doesn't like being petted and pees on everything!
He seems to do it on purpose too. Pee on clothes, beds, desks and papers for school. Sheesh :P

I'm completely head over heels in love with your bag, if you ever decided to sell it, I'd like to be the first to know cause it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love your dress too, fringing is one of my new fascinations but I'm yet to invest in any pieces. Biding my time! But you look stunning!
Adorable dress, but I love that bag! It reminds me of the Chinese furniture my parents have at home.
