I wasn't originally planning on posting these photos on the blog, because they were specifically taken for a Lookbook collaboration and I am being modestly compensated for them. But then I thought, heck, the outfit is still cute! - and that jacket, though not mine to keep, is right up my alley. I also have a crap ton of sewing to do tonight and I just don't have time to import, resize and upload new photos right now. I'll be back with regular outfit posts tomorrow, but for now, here is that dress you have seen a few times - now with new jacket action!
Outfit Details:
Postlapsaria dress - made by me (sorry guys, I decided not to produce this for the site or wholesale...too expensive to make)
Postlapsaria sash - available in custom colors, made to order
fishnet tights - gift from my mom
shoes - Dots
Jacket - Collection B (on loan). I can't wear jackets without pulling on the edges and trying to be cool.
Makeup (prepare yourself):
Smasbox Photofinish primer all over face
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light all over face
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Refined on cheeks
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light all over face

Maybelline forever lipcolor in roseberry (dollar store!)
Love love,
Keiko Lynn
p.s. Retro Threadz is offering free shipping to my readers, now through the end of the weekend. Just put "Keiko Blogs" in the purchase notes or send a message with the promotion and she will adjust the listing for you!

that list of makeup products is ridiculous. I can barely figure out the basic foundation, blush, lip gloss, mascara combination. It's so much work and so time consuming.....but I definitely appreciate the artistry behind your work! That dress is sooo Victorian delicate and lovely.....I love how the jacket gives it a rougher, more modern vibe.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how well that dress and that jacket go together, despite how different they are. Leather and lace.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely lovely. Your hair looks so shiny and healthy.
Oh, have you posted your makeup details before? How fabulous and something you don't typically see on style blogs!
ReplyDeleteI also adore that location and the word "appreciate" stamped on the wall behind you. I appreciate you!
Oh, silly me! The word must be spray painted, not stamped. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorrrrrgeous! Love this look!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou kind of remind me of a neo-Joan Holloway from Mad Men. Just in that way she just naturally oozes sex appeal. This dress is so lovely, that little flower/lacey/eyelet fabric is gorgeous.
I love your dress.
ReplyDeletelove the dress- sooo cute!
ReplyDeletegreat blog btw ! lovely pics

The dress and the jacket is made for each other. :)
ReplyDeleteMary: Thank you:) I told you to prepare yourself! It actually doesn't take long. I just add a couple of extra steps to make sure my makeup doesn't run down my face at the end of the day. Primers make a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteHannah: Thank you! I try to take good care of my hair, but realistically I just shampoo and condition it:)
Amy: I try to post makeup details but sometimes I forget. I want to start doing it more often, because a lot of people ask about it. Thanks!
Kate, Meghan, Trishna: Thank you!
Elizabeth: That's the best compliment everrrr! I love her. Thanks<3
Elena: Just checked out your blog...do you live in the city or elsewhere? Because if you have an awesome backyard in the city, I need to move in with you.
That is stunning. . .do you sell your designs on modcloth.com?
