I love my horses (and my colorful little sister). Little Shawny and I have been best friends for over 20 years. Can you believe that?
Love love,
Keiko Lynn
p.s. A little info about the horses: Shawn is a Morgan Welsh (36 years old), Cocoa is a Thoroughbred mare, and Diablo is a Paso Fino.

You look so lovely! I love the photos!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful (as are you!).
ReplyDeleteI love these photos. Lately I've been really missing riding.
ReplyDeleteI meant to email you back when your horse died. When I was in 8th grade my horse got gangrene the nearly killed him. It was awful seeing such a big, strong horse with a huge personality become so quiet and in pain. He used to nip and me and all he could do is stand there and rest his head on me. I remember doing cold compresses on him for hours trying to heal him. At the same time my brother was also in the pediatric intensive care unit after being stomped by a moose and found clinically dead by my father who spend ten minutes giving him cpr. During that time I just remember driving from the human hospital to the horse hospital. Your hard times recently made me really remember that time and I am so thankful to God that he returned both Taco and Ben to live full lives.
I hope that things are going better for you, darlin'. You look absolutely GORGEOUS, and so do your equine pals! I need to go up to my barn and get some photos of my old mare's daughter, Juneau. She was the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life!
Okay, I probably should've just emailed you. This comment is forever-long!
Much love, Keiko. I hope I get to see you again, perhaps next fashion week?

ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your horse. I know how horrible it is to let them go. I've lost three of my own, and it never gets easier.
Also, I love Arabs. My first horse was an Anglo-Arab, but most of my friends had Arabs when we were younger.
Justice Pirate: You are absolutely right...there is definitely special about the bond between a girl and her horse:) I couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteC: The trick is that you can't smell me from the pictures. Haha, I smelled like horses and dirt.
ReplyDeleteriennahera: They are excellent swimmers:)
A horse is the best friend you can ever have!
