ModCloth has presented four bloggers - Selective Potential, Strawberry Koi, This Time Tomorrow and myself - with a really fun challenge. Every Monday in the month of April, all four of us will style a selected ModCloth piece in our own way. This is where you come in: you can vote for your favorite look on the ModCloth blog.
This week, we were given the Ivory Symphony Skirt. Since I'm still in Florida (with about a week's worth of clothing...seriously), I don't have a ton of options. I grabbed one of my sample Postlapsaria tops and my trusty Seychelles Blimeys and threw them in my bag. I received the skirt just in time to bring it to Ft. Walton, where the funeral was held. While it wasn't funeral appropriate, I wore it on our last family outing to Waffle House, Pop-Pop's favorite place. I took a tumble down some concrete stairs (what else is new?) and that is why I have a lovely bandage on my knee, covered by my mom's stockings. It really pulls the look together, right?
I know this isn't the most creative outfit, but I did my best with the little bit I had. The other girls are super stylish and have some great looks that are worth checking out (and saving for inspiration). I don't expect anyone to vote for me based on loyalty. Vote for your favorite look, whether it is mine, Tieka's, Krystal's or Aya's, and check back every Monday for more challenges!

LOVE this skirt with those tights.
ReplyDeleteThe bandaid definitely completes the look. ;) That was pretty much my fashion statement when I was little though, I had the bad habit of scraping my knobby knees.
ReplyDeleteAnd that skirt is gorgeous, I think it's hard to style it "wrong." I really like the play with textures and patterns in this outfit.

My first comment here, yay!
ReplyDeleteI just had to say that you look amazing, whether you had lots of options or not. I love the challenge of having to use what is on hand, and you do it great. I have to say that it speaks for itself that you, despite or because of that, have the most inventive and inspiring take on that skirt. It was an easy vote!
I loved your outfit the most. Really beautifully put together!!!
