Today was a weird day. I drove around parts of Florida that I didn't even know existed. That was actually pretty cool. I like exploring. But the rest of my day was...weird.
A couple of my friends lovingly accused me of not taking care of myself when things aren't going well. I don't sleep, I don't eat properly, and my immune system suffers because of it. Isn't that what everyone does? I know I'm not unique in this! While on my drive, Drew Lindo (one of my all time favorite people and my confidant) asked me what I ate today, if I slept, etc. Displeased with my lackluster answers (a few hours, vitamin water and a donut), he replied, "Your life depresses me. I'm getting off the phone."
Oddly enough, that is what turned my mood around. I couldn't help but go into a giggle fit. My friends make me laugh. I love them. And I've said it a million times, but everyone needs a Drew Lindo in their life.
Outfit Details:
vintage crochet yoke dress: jet rag? I think?
denim jacket: french connection
belt: thrifted
shoes: calvin klein, beacon's closet
Love love and fits of giggles,
Keiko Lynn
p.s. Don't worry, New York. I'll be home soon<3

True that. There is nothing like friends, besides that fact, you look stunning. You have such a gorgeous face. Great floral dress.

ReplyDeleteP.S. That shot of you with the sunflare is insanely pretty.
You're not alone, I do the same thing! My boyfriend of 4 years and I broke up in January and afterwards I was having a hard time eating and sleeping well. To be honest I think I dropped about 8 lbs during the time and I too was lucky to have good friends who really helped me through everything! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better :]
ReplyDeleteI actually know a guy named Drew Lindow, but with a W at the end. :P He's a good guy too.
ReplyDeleteYou are so, so strikingly beautiful, Keiko. Now get some sleep! :)

I do the exact same thing... how lovely that you have your friends checking up on you. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! Food and sleep are the two most important things (even more than love! more than friends! I swear!) when you are going through a hard time, or your immune system really will shut down and it will only make matters worse. I got mono and then shingles straight in a row while moving apartments this summer, and I kid you not, I had a fight with my mother yesterday and woke up with a fever today. Health and Happiness are so intrinsically intertwined... don't skimp on the basics, darling! You can and will pull through :)

Nope, you're certainly not alone, especially with the not eating thing. When I'm really upset and it comes to sleep, however, that's all I really want to do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good friend! Sometimes we need someone to put something so bluntly, that it can't do anything but become rather comical =).
