I hate doing laundry. Mainly because it means I have to go to the laundromat. I miss the days of in house washing machines and dryers - I left those in Florida with central air and swimming pools, boo. I'm a spoiled little brat and Bobby always does my laundry. When he doesn't get around to it, I just make new clothes! That's what I did for this outfit; I had nothing to wear, so I made a dress. When my clothes no longer fit into the hamper and are strewn about the floor, you know it's time for me to suck it up and do laundry. The best/worst part about all of this is that I made the dress that morning, and was late because I spent more time on it than I thought I would. I messed up the bodice and had to hack off an inch and a half, because I didn't have time to start over. It ended up being a less flattering, baby doll style. But you know, at least I wasn't naked.
I look miserable in that last picture because I was in a horrible mood and was running super late for the Seychelles preview. I'm always running late. Once I got there, I had a great time. I met some really awesome gals and gents, oohed and ahhed over all of the beautiful new designs and even got my nails done. It was all fine and good until I got on the train and realized that I had eyeliner all under my eyes and my lipstick was just a line around my lips. Word to the wise: don't ever try out new makeup products when you are going out. Try them out at home first and stick to your staples when in doubt! I looked like a clown. Lesson learned!

I could not live without a washing machine. Mine once broke and I didn't have one for a week. I almost died. I just wore dirty clothes though due to my lack of sewing skills... So great work!

ReplyDeleteYou always look so gorgeous. I absolutely adore your clothes!
ReplyDeleteAt least you can make your own clothes... when I don't feel like doing laundry, I always wind up buying something new. -_- That's bad, because then I lose track of what I already have and wind up with waaaay too many clothes! This dress is cute though; I love the off-white with black tights!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you made that dress...and in one day! WTH...I am sooo jealous of your talent!
ReplyDeleteI love that eyelet material! The dress is gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm the odd one out because I enjoy doing laundry. I find folding warm clothes fresh from the dryer to be quite therapeutic (I have no idea why, but it just is).

ReplyDeletelahmode: I use a Nikon D50 with a 1.8f 50mm lens. I also have an 18-55 lens but I almost always use the 50mm. The D50 was discontinued but there are comparable bodies out there. The D40 has good reviews, but it doesn't work with the 50mm I have:(
Your coat is adorable!
