I'm a Lover, Not a Fighter.

Outfit Details: thrifted blazer, thrifted dress (altered), vintage gloves, 80%20 shoes, vintage belt, tights from Urban Outfitters.

We're gearing up for the Bust Craftacular (December 6th!) and I'm behind on my posts. Luckily, I have quite a few from last week, because I've been busy/pajama-ing the last few days while I work/punch myself in the face repeatedly. Nevertheless, it's nice to look back and think, "Last week was awesome." I met up with my good friend Jason (my prom date!) and his boyfriend for lunch. I love seeing Jason because we can go a year without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off. Friends like that are hard to come by.

That was last week. This week has been a bash my head against the wall kind of week - but I'll save the sorry details for my friends, bless their patient little hearts. I'll just say that I've heard "You have the worst luck of anyone I know" more and more these days. It doesn't take much to make me happy; it really doesn't. It just seems like things keep going awry and it's rather frustrating if not downright maddening!

Yesterday, I sat at my sewing machine looking defeated and on the verge of tears. Kim walked up to me and said, "Do you need a hug? You look like you need hug."

I did. It helped.

Sometimes you just need a little reminder that it isn't the whole world who is against you. I always have my friends and family.

Love love,
Keiko Lynn

You have had such a rough time this year! I don't know why we have to go through these bad patches; it's very unfair. I hope it passes soon, and that brighter days are ahead.

* virtual hug *

(And my kitteh wants to give you a hug too, but his paws are muddy and would ruin your dress, so he'll just have to wait).

Dearest Keiko,
Please tell me how the hell you manage to do those wonderful soft waves. I demand an instruction! :>

I have similar tights! When I bought them I thought the chevron would meet up in the front like these do...they do not, they only meet up on the sides. I need these ones!

Gorgeous outfit, and I love the tights.

My sewing machine almost made me cry this weekend. Sometimes they simply don't want to behave.

I'm sorry things aren't going so well, it's not nice when things spiral out of your control. On the brighter side however I absolutely adore the gloves you have on in these pictures! Seriously I have wanted some like that for SO long!

That belt is AMAZING. And hang in there. We all have our days (or weeks) where we just want to cry and not do anything at all.. but you have to push through and when you see the fruits of your labor, you will be so proud of yourself. <3

The entire outfit looks stunning and prefect except for the shoes. I think the design of the shoes is inappropriate for your outfit.

The shoe color matches the jacket but it doesn’t mean that if the color matches it’s perfect for the outfit. I thought the outfit is fabulous but the shoes are a disaster. You should’ve worn blue high heels or anything that looks sophisticated and a little more feminine to look at.
