Boobear!

The whole reason for my trip to Florida:

I got to pick up Kitty Boos and bring him home!

The plane ride was kind of rough on him but he has since adjusted really well. He is back to normal and healthy! Vester is being a bit of a punk toward him (when Boo is using the litter box, he sits on top and occasionally smacks him in the face), Lacy is a lady and welcomed him, but Miku was beside herself. She was literally jumping with joy. She loves her little Boo; she is very protective with him. We're so happy to have him here and in good health.

And just because he was the cutest little kitten ever, here are some old pictures to enjoy:

Kitty Boos wouldn't even be alive without your help. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart. Your donations, advice, emotional support and general kindness have been so wonderful.

Love love,

Keiko Lynn (and Kitty Boos)

  2. So glad he's all safe and home. It's so traumatic when your animals are sick. Give him a nuzzle for me!

  4. I'm so glad your lil kitty made it through. I know how hard it is to nurse a cat friend back to health. I had to do it last year for over a month. When they are part of your family you can not help but want to do anything and everything to help them, they are so helpless. Sounds like your house is alive with furry entertainment, how fun!!

  5. Yay! So happy to hear he's doing well and now a city kitty!

One of my cats was recently very sick too, I know how hard (and expensive) it can be. They're seriously like having kids!

  9. How cute is Kitty Boos? If I wasn't so deathly allergic to cats, I would definitely aspire to be a crazy cat lady when I grow up. haha!!

Glad to hear Kitty Boos made it over to NY safely and that he's doing better. :)

  11. Awww, he is adorable! I have to do some traveling with my cat soon and am just wondering - do you fly with him in the cabin, or in the hold of the plane?

  12. Yay! I'm so glad Kitty Boos is back to good health. I just lost my cat after 17 beautiful years, so I'm glad I was able to help even a little bit to help Kitty Boos be with you for a lot longer.

  13. I'm so glad he is ok. I was really worried when you were posting about him. Are you telling me you have 4 cats in your place? I have three and I get hell about it a lot but I loves them...

  14. Caitlin:
I fly with him in the cabin. I don't recommend ever having them fly in cargo! It's scary and there have been so many bad issues with that. I fly Jet Blue and Delta - it's $100 each way for the pet.

    Diana: Thank you SO much:)

myedit: I have three cats and a dog. Ridiculous, I know! I had no intention of having so many animals in my apartment but the kitties were all rescues and I just couldn't say no. My sister and her friend found some stray kittens without a mom on the side of the road (someone probably dumped them). They found homes for all but two, so I took them in. And Kitty Boos was found alone and would have been killed, so that is how we ended up with him!

  15. oh, I'm so happy to see he's back and well! my cat's do the same thing: Zebediah sits on top of the box and tries to prevent Zephyr form even going in! Boo was such a cute kitten!

  16. I'm so glad he made a full recovery and is back home. I love reading a happy ending. I was praying for you. I know what you were going through as I went through something similar with my little kitty. Sadly, he was not as fortunate as your little Boo. Thanks for writing this wonderful blog, I truly enjoy it.
