My string of bad luck has not yet come to an end (maybe it never will) but at least I am able to laugh at myself and my silly misfortunes. Even better, I have people to laugh with me...and a puppy who stands on her tippy toes, anytime she senses I need to smile. Easter was a great day full of good food, colorful eggs, bunny ears and lots of smiles. I can't remember anything unpleasant about the day, which was a welcome release.
I'm starting to think that my luck is just mirroring my physical being...it's just klutzy. Nothing major, just some trips and spills that leave little cuts and bruises - nothing a Hello Kitty bandaid can't fix. If you have ever seen me in real life, you'd know what I'm talking about. I trip over my own feet, walk into walls, hit my head on everything...it makes for some very colorful limbs.

Bobby is a good sport. Unfortunately, he didn't bring his lamb ears (how rude!) when he moved here; fortunately, I happened to have a spare pair of bunny ears. Why? Because you never know when you need to be a bunny, and two bunnies are always better than one. Miku's bunny ears were purchased for this very Easter occasion. I can't pretend I had those laying around.

I actually purchase this dress for Kimbly, but I decided to wear it once before passing it on. It is second-hand, so no harm in wearing it, right? I looked everywhere for my pearls and couldn't find them. I swear, I am becoming my mom. She always puts things in a "safe place" and then can never remember where this "safe place" is. She just gave me this beautiful little vintage jewelry box but I'm having a hard time locating some of my most precious pieces. Thanks for the forgetful genes, mom! At least I now have a real safe place to keep them in...once I find them.

I absolutely love that dress! It is amazing! And the bunny ears make it extra cute.
ReplyDeleteyou look lovely as always :)
ReplyDeleteby the way, I'm like you. I put my accessories and things in little boxes and keep them safely somewhere in my huge closet and I wonder where they have gone. I also have a habit of preserving things, even when I don't actually intend to.
I could tell from the pictures that dress was Betsey Johnson! What a lucky find.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I'm awful about losing my cell phone. Since it's always on silent, it can take me days to find it, too.
I have the same problem with the "safe place"
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI've been following you since livejournal days and I really enjoy reading your blog. I love your writing, clothing and photos - everything is always presented in a sweet and playful way. I easily lose interest in most fashion blogs, because they seem pretentious or out of touch. I love that you don't take yourself so seriously.
You and the boy are too cute! I really love the dress and the purse is amazing! I wish I had sweet vintage connections like you do.
ReplyDeleteGod, this reminds me so much of myself. I always run into everything and I always forget where I left my things *giggle*
ReplyDeleteLovely dress :)
Ach, that dress is glorious! Glad you gave it a test run before passing it along.
ReplyDeleteOmigoodness! I love that dress! Haha, I so wish I had some vintage shops down the street. That would be amazing :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dress! The ears were a cute touch to the outfit too. :)
ReplyDeleteI spent my Easter at home with my bunny. I haven't had much time to make anything for the past 2 weeks, so I pulled out my pliers and got to work on more of those bunny necklaces you commented about back in February, while my bunny just sat by my side.
Yay for bunnies!
Your dress is divine! It should be framed really...
ReplyDeleteYour entire outfit is amazing! I would love to exchange links with you
ReplyDeleteI love your dress... I think if I found that I would find it very hard to pass on.
ReplyDeleteI am also a big BIG klutz. I am forever falling over and tripping into things or at least doing something stupid. I often wonder how my feet manage to trip me up so often.
x
