I'm sorry for the lack of daily posts; I've been preoccupied with work. Luckily, today was a nice break from the monotonous work week, and I took advantage of the warmer weather. I'm such an old lady with my routines, but it's nice to have lazy Sunday brunches to look forward to. If only I could get Bobby more into Scrabble. That's my perfect Sunday. Wow, I am an old lady!




Hopefully, this week will be a little better. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do - but sometimes it's a little tiring. Since I don't have a regular work schedule, I end up working through the night, every night. I've tried setting hours for myself but it doesn't work. I always feel like I need to make just one more thing. Oh well! At least I get to watch all of my favorite shows, while I'm sewing.

Now, for the outfit details:

madras dress: thrifted and altered. I shortened the hem, took it in at the waist, let it out at the bust (it had such a weird shape) and added sleeves (made from the extra fabric from the hem.
blue, short sleeve sweater - anthropologie
belt - from my mom's shop (Hourglass Consignment in Margate, Florida)
tights - target
bag - I wish I had a detail shot of this; it's so cute! My little sister Tessa bought this for me at a thrift store, when she was 7 or 8 years old:)
vintage heels - beacon's closet
flowers in my hair - I sewed fake flowers onto a felted bobby pin
