Hence, the lack of daily updates. I'm still photographing my outfits but they'll just come late or all at once. Here is one. I'm on my way out for a day of shopping with the ladies (Tessa, Roxy and Kim) and the not-so-much-a-lady, Amanda. Hi, Amanda!

Dress - thrifted in New York and altered (shortened hem, added band)
belt - thrifted in Cape Cod
pink tights - h&m
boots - yard sale in Cape Cod ($1!)
Speaking of Cape Cod, I can't wait to make another trip there, once it warms up. Being in Florida weather and eating pumpkin ice cream (well, frozen custard) may have brought that on. Mmmmm pumpkin ice cream. The Floridian place we go to, Ritter's, has pumpkin, egg nog, fresh banana, coffee crunch and mint oreo custards. They're all so good, I never know which one to choose, and I'm not even a big ice cream lover. This is why I gain weight when I'm down here!

I love the color of that dress! (sigh!)
ReplyDeletei LOVE pumpkin ice cream.

Do you have any Cape Cod shop recommendations? My family is going there on vacation over the summer and would love to know what you like there!

ReplyDeleteThis is so very sweet! I'd normally be bored by these colours but this is amazing nonetheless! I really dig the top of the dress, too. I want it! *_*
ReplyDeleteRitters sounds pretty awesome. Where in Florida is it? I live in Tampa, so if it's not too far away I might check it out.
ReplyDeletepumpkin ice cream is my favorite. you're not missing much weather-wise in NY...it's still freezing!

Hi Keiko Lynn! I haven't introduced myself yet (I recently started reading your blog after I saw one of your amazing outfits posted on ModLife and now I'm addicted). I'm Kristen and I live in northern California. I really would like to commend you on your amazing style. It is the type of style I strive to have, but due to the lack of good thrift stores in my area and the inability to put a cohesive outfit together, I can only wish to one day have such a wonderful wardrobe. Anyway, have a great Christmas. I am now one of your dedicated readers!
ReplyDeleteThat's one gorgoues dress.
ReplyDeletewoww. i love your outfit! :)

I've been following you too for awhile! You have an impossibly gorgeous face (and eyebrows made of win). Never stop posting! :-D

ReplyDeletewhat a lovley outfit!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice site! I love that your outfits includes pieces from thrift stores and yard sales. I've always believed that we can dress beautifully from second hand stores ... and you are proof.

i love your new website! i wish i knew how to build one
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that you say that you shortened a lot of your dresses/skirts. I'm wanting to try that but I'm not sure how they will turn out. Do you just take length off the bottom or do you sometimes have to make them less flared?? (I hope that makes sense.)
ReplyDeletea glance at my world:
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the dress. Sometimes I just measure and cut, then hem. Other times, I take off some excess and make it into a band. For the bands, I always use a serger. It's important to measure!

ReplyDeleteWhere in Cape Cod will you be staying? We stayed in Harwichport. I can't remember the names of the thrift shops but once you hit one, they have an entire brochure of the rest. It's very handy! If you're in Harwich, stop by the Schoolhouse Ice Cream Shop - Bobby's aunt owns it:)
